Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs
Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.

Britney Spears WIth Her Lawyer Laura Wasser
November 08, 2006
He's been going on like normal, talking about his relationship and Britney, a friend of Kevins told Life & Style magazine, but she was not going on anymore! They fought all week in New York. No one knew about the divorce. Not even Kevin. It is very possible he was flying when she filed! In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couples two sons, 1-year-old Sean Preston and 2-month-old Jayden James. Federline would get visitation rights. The date of separation was listed as Monday, the same night that Britney made a surprise appearance on The David Letterman Show, looking gorgeous and slim with a perky new bob haircut and a naked wedding-ring finger. The past weeks events helped fuel speculation that the famous couple was finally on the outs. Crowds waited in vain for Spears to arrive at her hubby's album release party at Stereo on Friday, but Kev just hunkered down in a booth with his buddies, eventually giving an imprompt performance to a nonplussed audience.Despite increased security in anticipation of her appearance, Mrs. Federline was a No-Show at K-Feds ill-received concert at Webster Hall.
Spears certainly is not sparing the bucks when it comes to her representation. She has hired powerhouse celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, whose client roster includes Angelina Jolie, Nick Lachey and Kiefer Sutherland.
They were going to cancel this concert, but he begged them to keep it on, a Webster Hall bartender told Star magazine. He had to fight with them to keep this concert. Only 300 people showed up at a club that holds 1,500.
In January 2004, she married childhood friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas. That marriage was annulled after 55 hours.
Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. Sick of doling out money to Kevin, she has also asked that the judge make each party pay their own attorneys fees.

"There are estimates that by the end of the term of this administration, they will have lost more jobs than almost any other presidential administration."
That Rose Garden event — there's been a great deal of speculation about it — my wife Karen and I were there and honored to be there. Many of the people who were at that event, Susan, were actually tested for coronavirus, and it was an outdoor event, which all of our scientists r...
