Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs
Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.
Military.com stated that Reality’s mother sent a Twitter message that said “Cohen has asked another attorney to look at the case and for opportunities to help.”

Take back control by disabling this 'SECRET UPDATE' feature (Which hackers are using already)
Although there is no evidence that anyone has yet compromised the Windows Update service itself, the unfortunate answer is that hackers have already been using components of Windows Update to bypass firewalls. (Click on the symantec logo to read more about that)
The method involves calling on the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS), which is part of Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista. BITS service is part of the operating system, so it is trusted and bypasses the local firewall while downloading files. The bottom line; your firewall does not stop this attack. How to disable Window Updates once and for all, in 3 easy steps :
Choose Start, Run (XP) or Start (Vista). Type services.msc and press Enter.
Double-click Automatic Updates (XP) or Windows Updates (Vista). For Startup type, choose Disabled and click OK.
Double-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service. If the Startup type is not already set to Manual, choose that option and click OK. Close the Services window.
That is it ! Your Protected !
Say no more, to secret updates or a hackers dream ( a back door).
In a previous article I wrote about the NSA having keys to all Windows XP Systems , I let this slide and did not patch this hole. (Email me for this story)
But this time Microsoft has gone to far, and I am going to act. I need total control over my own computer.
Microsoft just released this and I wanted to share it with you ...
We received reports today that some Windows XP customers haven’t been able to install updates from Windows Update/Microsoft Update with the latest version of the Windows Update client. We are only seeing this issue when users have performed a “repair” on their Windows XP installation. I wanted to take a minute and let folks know what we know about this right now and what we’re doing about it.
After getting the reports, we began actively reproducing and investigating the issue. We have identified the root cause and the steps to resolve this issue.
Here’s what we found: when an XP repair CD is used, it replaces all system files (including Windows Update) on your machine with older versions of those files and restores the registry. However, the latest version of Windows Update includes wups2.dll that was not originally present in Windows XP. Therefore, after the repair install of the OS, wups2.dll remains on the system but its registry entries are missing. This mismatch causes updates to fail installation.
If you experience this issue, you can contact customer service using the contact info at http://support.microsoft.com/security. Additionally, a KB article describing the steps to resolve this issue will be available soon. I will update this blog with a link to the KB article when it is available. In the meantime, here are the steps included in the KB:
