Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs
Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.

We encourage anyone to reach out to discuss potential news stories that may be in the public interest. You can reach us via email or by phone at 603-483-3900 with the understanding that the information you provide might be used in our LIVE broadcasts or other stories.
Today, there will be some severe homepage changes. Our stories will no longer be printed on the homepage. Just a thumbnail & description. To read our stories, will require an extra click. This way we can display todays entire news on 1 screen (hopefully).
We have managed to increase the loading speed of OS9USER, however the page length (over all) is way to long still.
Also today we will be changing the appearance of our scrolling news in our sidebar. It will be smaller. Clicking on the image (pic) will bring you to the story, where as right now it does not.
In addition we will be adding a front row "Spot" for our news cast, to be posted today.
Any News video's that are not made by us, will no longer go out in our feeds. I read a very disturbing article yesterday where doing this interfere's greatly with out site ranks and crawling status. Video's will still be posted, but they will not be News Videos unless they are made by us.
The 3rd column will be the hardest hit, along with the elimination of : Today's Cartoon, Word of the Day, Article of the day, This day in History, Today's Birthday and In our News.
I am delete happy, so today might not be a good day to "Chat". All changes will appear this evening in a shot gun approach.
They will be extremely noticeable .
Officers Killed In The Line Of Duty has been moved to the top of our homepage on the right. I strongly urge readers to check this column out. These people gave their lives in the line of duty. How much can one person give ?
In summary, this site will under go a facelift and our next News Cast will be online today.
Lynn from our News Team, will make herself available in chat, please direct all questions to her as today I will be to busy to chat with my readers. I will turn on my chat status, but Lynn will be the only one from our News Team to chat today.
Also, unless something fantastic happens, we will be posting NO NEWS today, as I will be working on the template.
