Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.

Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.
Military.com stated that Reality’s mother sent a Twitter message that said “Cohen has asked another attorney to look at the case and for opportunities to help.”

Microsoft Gives Vista Backdoor Keys Out

It's long been assumed that Microsoft has built in various "backdoors" for law enforcement to get around its own security, but now reader Kevin Stapp lets us know that Micrsoft is really up to.
Apparently, they are giving out special USB keys that simply get around Microsoft's security, allowing the holder of the key to very quickly get forensic information.
While you can understand why police like this, the very fact that the back door is there and that a bunch of these USB keys are out there.
The second you build in such backdoors, no matter how noble the reason, you can rest assured that they will be used by criminals as well.
It appears from my research that all Windows has "Back Doors". I have enough data to figure out a patch myself, since any reference on "How To" patch this key from hackers (known as _NSAKEY, _KEY, or _KEY2) has been conveniently eliminated from the internet.
This is only a few minutes of work for me luckly. I'll let Google spy on me, my Goverment but nobody else. If I catch a security breach or hole, I'll fix it the minute it is discovered. I knew about this hole for a long time now.
I also knew, that in the newest copy of Windows (VISTA) this key was to be hidden so well, no one was expected to find it. This is all old news.
But as the news of a "Back Door USB" appears in my news, it is time for me to act. Time to fix this hole and then move on with our news.
Unfortunately I will not post this patch on the OS9USER News Room. I will not teach hackers how to hack. Along with my faithful readers, I am sure to get a hacker or two reading our news as well.
