Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs
Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.
Military.com stated that Reality’s mother sent a Twitter message that said “Cohen has asked another attorney to look at the case and for opportunities to help.”

Mamma Bear Finds Cub In Car (Video)
May 23, 2008
"Caught On Tape": A Hawley, Pa. woman taped a bear trying to get into her car.
It seems a cub had opened the car door and got trapped.
Momma also opened the door, but not before destroying the car.
A bear found it's way into a car in the Poconos Tuesday night, then ripped the interior apart. The car's owners watched the whole thing at their home in Pike County.
The Seligs have home video of the whole thing (shown above).
Three bears showed up at their house in the Hemlock Farms development Tuesday night. One of them opened the car door, got inside and made a major mess.
Barbara and Mike Selig inspected the damage to their car Wednesday. It was wildlife gone wild inside their vehicle. Paneling was ripped apart. The roof was torn down and wiring slashed, all thanks to a bear.
"I said, 'Oh my God, Mike there is a bear right here by the car.' He said, 'What are you talking about?' and he came over and looked," recounted Barbara Selig.
On home video, Barbara captured two bear moseying around the car and looking in the windows. At first the couple couldn't figure out why. There was no food inside.
They only learned it was a cub inside drawing all the attention when the heard the horn start honking and saw the little guy through the steamed up windows.
"I looked and I said, 'Mike that's impossible. The four doors are closed, how could it get in the car unless it opened the door itself,'" Barbara said, laughing.
There are reports of bear finding a way to open car doors in other parts of the development. This time the bear got inside and got trapped.
Eventually the bear did find its way out, somehow getting the door back open. On the video it could be seen strolling away.
"The door opens, the bear is there and I'm yelling. 'Oh my God, the bear just opened the door to the car!'" Barbara added.
After all the bears were gone and coast seemed clear, the Seligs went out to take a look at their car, and were shocked to find all the damage.
"It's the car I usually use and I wasn't happy for it to happen because I wanted this baby to last a few years, but it works out," said Mike Selig.
"When I woke up I said did i dream all this or did it really happened. But I saw the car. It happened, it really happened," Barbara added.
The Seligs don't know how costly the damage will be. They think the car is likely totaled.
They do have insurance. Interestingly, their agency searched it's national database and couldn't find any claims in the past from a bear being inside a car.
"(Biden’s) own chief of staff, Ron Klain, would say last year that it was pure luck, that they did ‘everything possible wrong’ (with H1N1). And we learned from that."
"There are estimates that by the end of the term of this administration, they will have lost more jobs than almost any other presidential administration."
That Rose Garden event — there's been a great deal of speculation about it — my wife Karen and I were there and honored to be there. Many of the people who were at that event, Susan, were actually tested for coronavirus, and it was an outdoor event, which all of our scientists r...
