Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs

Sweden remains gripped by the on-going saga of young soldiers who were filmed firing their weapons while in the nude.
The former commander of the country's amphibious military unit has now been accused of trying to cover up the incident.
Lars-Olof Corneliusson is said to have told the leader of the exercise to destroy footage of the incident which later turned up on Swedish television.
The images of the young conscripts firing their shoulder-mounted artillery cannons, while wearing nothing but their helmets, has now gone around the world, courtesy of YouTube. We were unable to locate the video however.
According to the Dagens Nyheter (DN) newspaper, naked soldiers from the Vaxholm-based Amf 1 amphibious unit were filmed firing shoulder-mounted artillery cannons. In an effort to cover up the incident, Corneliusson instructed the leader of the exercise to destroy the film.
Not only did Corneliusson request that the film be destroyed, he also failed to report the shooting as a workplace incident, according to the newspaper. The incident was investigated by Commander Christer Olofsson, who criticized the unit’s military leadership for their inadequate response. Just a quick note, if you Google this story, you might not find it. Digg DEEPER - meaning you might have to translate a few newspapers and sites to get to the bottom of this cover-up.
