Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs
Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.
Military.com stated that Reality’s mother sent a Twitter message that said “Cohen has asked another attorney to look at the case and for opportunities to help.”

WWE $ Million Dollar Cash Money $ 3rd Week Winners
June 23, 2008
For the third week in a row, "McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania" continued to steamroll across the country.
The first winner to get bowled over by Mr. McMahon’s generosity was Crystal V. of the Bronx, N.Y., who offered up the night’s password, “Night of Champions,” and won $100,000.
The overwhelmed 23-year-old works as a clerk at Beth Israel Hospital and attends La Guardia Community College, seeking a degree in psychology.
“I have no idea what I’ll spend the money on,” said Vega, a WWE fan since the age of 10. “I could use a car.”
Out of the six million WWE fans who registered to win, Samira A., 42, of Hamtramck, Mich. was next to capture a $100,000 windfall. The longtime WWE fan, and native Arabic speaker, had her 13-year old son Aliiaza tell WWE officials that the family will likely use the money to enjoy a vacation.
Ladies night continued as Donna S. of Selden, N.Y., became the third lucky winner of $100,000 of Mr. McMahon's money.
"I'm so happy," said the 39-year-old medical assistant. "Mr. McMahon is awesome!"
Donna said she will donate a portion of her winnings to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Hospital, and enjoy the rest with her family, husband Chris and her 15-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter.
Next up for the $100,000 treatment was Justin G. of Somerset, N.J. The 15-year-old, ninth-grade student now has two reasons to celebrate: tomorrow is also his last day of the school year.
"I'm very excited," said the Rey Mysterio fan, who added that Mr. McMahon sure is "generous."
For Vanessa of Robstown, Texas, her Monday was already shaping up as a night to remember. She was actually in the AT&T Center audience when her "Stone Cold" Steve Austin ringtone hit!
The 25-year old said she may buy a new car and also give some of her $100,000 prize to her parents.
"This is so awesome," said the longtime fan. "Mr. McMahon is the bomb!"
To end the night, the Chairman dropped a half million on one lucky viewer, Michael S.
"My son Jason is the biggest wrestling fan in the world," said the 54-year old children's clothing manufacturer of his 24-year old son.
"I've never won anything in my life," said the overjoyed winner. "It's shocking. It's unbelievable. I'm speechless."
"(Biden’s) own chief of staff, Ron Klain, would say last year that it was pure luck, that they did ‘everything possible wrong’ (with H1N1). And we learned from that."
"There are estimates that by the end of the term of this administration, they will have lost more jobs than almost any other presidential administration."
That Rose Garden event — there's been a great deal of speculation about it — my wife Karen and I were there and honored to be there. Many of the people who were at that event, Susan, were actually tested for coronavirus, and it was an outdoor event, which all of our scientists r...
