Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.

People cited "suspicions over super-sophisticated aircraft", "footage former employees have smuggled out" and "testimonies from former employees who claim to have met and worked with an alien named J-Rod" as some of the reasons for their beliefs.

At least 38 per cent of those surveyed said that witness reports of explosions inside the building were the main reason they thought the Twin Towers were brought down intentionally.
Number three on the list was the suggestion that the Apollo moon landing was a hoax, followed by the theory that Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed were murdered.
The online survey was taken by 1,000 British adults and was conducted by film company 20th Century Fox to celebrate the release of The X-Files: I Want To Believe.
The survey also found that 61 per cent believe in aliens, 52 per cent think ghosts exist and 21 per cent believe in monsters.
It also revealed that 59 per cent believe they are psychic and 42 per cent claim to have had extra-sensory perception (ESP) experiences.
