Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs

Brooke Bennett disappeared in VT Week Report (Video)
July 02, 2008
A vigil will be held in Randolph, Vermont this evening for missing 12-year-old Brooke Bennett.
The girl has been missing since June 25th after she was dropped off at a convenience store in downtown Randolph by her uncle.
Police searching for the girl arrested the uncle and her stepfather on sexual assault charges. Police say the victim or victims were not Brooke.
42-year-old Michael Jacques of Randolph has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The stepfather, Ray Gagnon of San Antonio,is due in federal court in Burlington today to answer an obstruction of justice charge.
Still no word on the girl's whereabouts.
It has been exactly one week since 12-year-old Brooke Bennett disappeared in Vermont -- and there has been no sign of her. Today, her former stepfather is in court, accused of destroying evidence. He and Brooke's uncle were arrested on unrelated sexual assault charges.
Raymond Gagnon was married to Brooke's Bennett's mother for about five years. The mother told the San Antonio Express-News that Gagnon came to Vermont to try to help out after her disappearance made national news last week.
Gagnon ended being arrested and is expected to be charged in federal court Wednesday with obstructing justice by destroying unspecified evidence in the case.
Police say one of Brooke's uncles, 42-year-old Michael Jacques, is a "person of interest" in her disappearance.
Separately, Jacques has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a different girl, who told police he was part of a child sex ring.
Currently the FBI has over 50 agents looking for Brooke.
