Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.

Iran Fires 3 Types Of Missiles as a show of Strength (Video)
July 10, 2008
Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Thursday that the country's recent military exercise was a warning to enemies of the Islamic Republic, Iran's English-language Press TV reported.
The aim of the recent exercise was to improve the readiness of Iran's forces for a rapid and powerful reaction to probable threats by ostensive enemies, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad-Ali Jafari was quoted as saying.
"The military exercise brings power to the Islamic Republic of Iran and is a lesson for adversaries," Jafari said.
Referring to the testing of multi-range missiles in the drill, Jafari said the armed forces were testing the accuracy and range of the high-tech missiles.
Iran tested more medium and long-range missiles in the Gulf early on Thursday.
In the third day of its military maneuvers dubbed Great ProphetIII in the Gulf, IRGC successfully test fired various classes of missiles including ground-to-sea, surface-to-surface, and sea-to-air.
The "Hoot torpedo" missile which Iran unveiled in April 2006 and then described as a super-fast weapon capable of hitting enemy submarines was also tested successfully.
On Wednesday, IRGC has successfully test fired new long- and mid-range missiles, including a Shahab 3, which can hit any targetwithin a range of 2,000 km.
"(Biden’s) own chief of staff, Ron Klain, would say last year that it was pure luck, that they did ‘everything possible wrong’ (with H1N1). And we learned from that."
"There are estimates that by the end of the term of this administration, they will have lost more jobs than almost any other presidential administration."
