Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.

Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.
Military.com stated that Reality’s mother sent a Twitter message that said “Cohen has asked another attorney to look at the case and for opportunities to help.”

Joint Navy & Army Operation to Raise Sunken Soviet Sub (Video)

U.S. Navy Expeditionary Combat Salvage divers and a small contingent of U.S. Army divers have worked since June 1 near Providence, to raise the former Soviet submarine K-77. also known as Juliet 484.
This is a unique opportunity to conduct real-world training in submarine salvage operations.
More than 100 active and Reserve Sailors and Soldiers, mainly from Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 2 (MDSU 2) Norfolk and the U.S. Army Dive Company from Fort Eustis, Va., have labored to raise the submarine from the bottom of the Providence River. It says after a powerful storm hit the city of Providence more than a year ago.
Military divers have been working for months to raise the sub from the Providence river.
"The Navy's taken a lot of time engineering exactly what this sub was supposed to do. It rose from basically bow. The bow came straight up, steady, and it was just an awesome, awesome feeling." The Russian submarine was used in the Harrison Ford movie K-19: The Widowmaker, the true story of a Russian nuclear submarine disaster during the Cold War. After shooting wrapped, the fate of Juliet 484 was unclear.
The Saratoga Museum Foundation placed a winning bid on eBay to buy the 300-foot, 38-year-old Russian submarine, and now the diesel-powered, nuclear cruise missile sub has a new home on the Providence waterfront.
The sub arrived in Providence in April, and after removing such Hollywood additions as the conning towe.
The foundation hopes to restore the USS Saratoga aircraft carrier and moor it next to the Juliet 484 in order to tell the story of the Cold War between the U.S. and the former U.S.S.R. Museum officials don't plan to open the sub to the public again.
