Billie Winner-Davis, Reality Winner's mother, told Business Insider on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is attempting legal representation to aid the former Air Force language analyst contractor and Kingsville native Reality Winner with her case.
Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 to leaking classified National Security Agency information on Russia's alleged efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. She was found guilty of violating the U.S. Espionage Act and sentenced to five years in prison at the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016 following her separation from six years of active duty, Winner was hired by Pluribus International Corporation under an NSA contract to work out of Fort Gordon, Georgia.
According to ABC News, Winner printed a classified report detailing how Russian hackers allegedly “executed cyber espionage operations” on local election systems and mailed the documents to The Intercept.
She was arrested on June 3, 2017.
Amazing! Thank you. My daughter Reality Leigh Winner is yet another victim of this admin. Doing hard time for bringing the truth to light. #FreeRealityWinnerhttps://t.co/wU0sg3LeRs
Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign violations and tax fraud in 2018, began serving his sentence in May 2019 at the federal penitentiary in Otisville, New York.
He has been under house arrest since July over coronavirus concerns.
Military.com stated that Reality’s mother sent a Twitter message that said “Cohen has asked another attorney to look at the case and for opportunities to help.”

CORONA VIRUS RAMBLINGS ...UPDATE
May 20, 2020
Six weeks into the lockdown in my state, I’m going crazy. I need to get stoned, but the current lockdown prevents that, too. So I find myself praying to a god I don’t believe in and worshipping at the altars of the fabled gods of old. Someone pass the pipe, please!
Days are counted by the changes of programs on my TV, the passing of weeks noted by the boring lack of change in my favorite shows. Crazy forays into my over active imagination try unsuccessfully to distract from the daily realities of the COVID pandemic. I think I hate what this virus has done to society, as a whole, and to my mental health.
With so much time on my hands, staying sane has become a full time job— for which I am not paid. And once again, I think about praying to a god I don’t believe in and worship at the altar of the ancient gods of old. There are so many gods, it’s hard to choose.. I really need to get stoned....for medicinal purposes, only...honestly!
It’s not just me, the whole country is going crazy. Asking people to behave with care and compassion has become a perceived threat to freedom. Whether you choose to honor physical distancing, or choose to not wear a mask in public has become a gauge of how tyrannical you are, or aren’t. Each viewpoint disparaging the other. We have a president hard at work creating more superbugs by needlessly ingesting antibiotics. Maybe he’s crazy too and just wants the Coronavirus to have superbug companions.
I’m Just Thinking that maybe the god I don’t believe in, no longer believes in us, and has run away from a world lacking in common sense, social responsibility and human decency. And maybe the fabled gods of old foresaw a future time when a people could no longer differentiate between being a society or being an economy. Too late people, they have all exited stage-left. Now I really wanna get stone, just a little relaxation, please, doc.........oh yeah, I forgot....the fucking virus!!!
If the gods have not run away, perhaps they sit on Mount Olympus laughing at the comedy of errors that has become our current state of affairs. Perhaps they rage against our ignorance, or cry at our cruelty to our fellow humans. No, I am not stoned...not even buzzed. The world of 2020 is no laughing matter.
The novel coronavirus has rendered the world a sad, frightening and dangerous place in which to live. For some of us, the belief in a god offers comfort and hope. For others, getting stoned offers an escape. Others spend their time crafting meaningless words in search of meaningful truths.

Interesting...we once had a pollutant and contaminant-free world. Sadly, even with environmental issues, we don't do much to prevent these things from happening, or we address the issues too late, and only when it becomes an overwhelming problem. A little late now and we all have to abide by the CDC guidelines, and it's been hard on so many of us. Hopefully we'll learn from this.
We can put the blame on whoever, and there's lot to go around but this doesn't change a thing. I don't believe God has given up on us. He gave us a brain, and we'll figure this out. I for one, will still pray this ends soon, never to return.
Im sure this will be a different world and one that will have some positive outcomes. I think Americans are very spoiled and maybe we should think of the things that are most important in life. Family dynamics are better for some, spending more time with each other and doing fun activities as a family.
I think its important to keep supporting our essential workers, have faith things will get better, and remember that we will live through this and maybe come back stronger.
"(Biden’s) own chief of staff, Ron Klain, would say last year that it was pure luck, that they did ‘everything possible wrong’ (with H1N1). And we learned from that."
"There are estimates that by the end of the term of this administration, they will have lost more jobs than almost any other presidential administration."
That Rose Garden event — there's been a great deal of speculation about it — my wife Karen and I were there and honored to be there. Many of the people who were at that event, Susan, were actually tested for coronavirus, and it was an outdoor event, which all of our scientists r...
